Éire

So my family and I visited Ireland. And what can I say? The country is nothing short of stunningly beautiful.
Lake we drove past on our road from the airport
We flew into Dublin and our first destination in Ireland was Glendalough in the Wicklar Mountains, where a monestary used to be.

The woods in Ireland seem outright magical!
The next day we took advantage of the sunny weather and visited Britas Bay.

Life buoy. We saw many of those, even in locations you wouldn't expect them!
Then we visited Kilkenny, a lovely little town, but packed full with tourists. The castle was very busy.

After the castle, we checked out the famous Smithwicks Experience. It's a former brewery, built into a museum. Smithwicks beer is really good! You might be familiar with Kilkenny beer, which is the export from the same brewery, but it's by far not as good as Smithwicks.

The next day we visited the Rock of Cashel, an old castle in the town Cashel.

Irish Countryside
Our second walk on the beach was not as sunny as the first, but we still enjoyed Derrynane Beach, and the cool sealife we discovered there.

Tadpoles? In a pool by the sea?

Sea anemones!! How cool!

Seagull
Then we visited the Cliffs of Kerry, where I met this chubby pony!

We also visited the Kilkee Kliffs, and the Cliffs of Moher the following two days

Sheep on the road!

At the Cliffs of Moher, some Harry Potter scenes were shot.

The next day, we visited Galway.

On our way from Galway, we saw some beautiful horses.

The  next day we decided to climb Diamond Hill.

In the Afternoon, we visited Kylemore Abbey and the beautiful walled gardens.

Then it was time to return to Dublin, where we visited the Rock 'n' Roll Museum and saw this huge mixing board

At night, we then went to a concert at the Button Factory

On our last day in Ireland, we went to Trinity College to see the book of Kells and the famous library.

And then it was already time to fly back to Austria. We greatly enjoyed our time in Ireland and I'm excited to come back soon!
